How To Measure Windows For Panel Glide Blinds

1. Tools You Need

You must have all these tools before measuring windows.

  1. Metal Tape Measure
  2. Pencil
  3. Note

Note: Face Fit is only available for Panel Glide Blinds

Decide how you would like the blind to sit on the window

If you’re installing inside the window frame we call it a Reveal Fit

 3. Measure the window frame & write down measurements in mm

Decide how you would like the blind to sit on the window

Face Fit

Width: Measure the exact width of the area you would like the blind to cover. We recommend the blind overlaps the window by at least 50mm on each edge. If you have an architrave we recommend measuring from outside of architrave to outside of architrave.

Height: Measure the exact height of the area you would like the blind to cover. We recommend the blind overlaps the window by at least 50mm on each edge. If you have an architrave we recommend measuring from outside of architrave to outside of architrave.​

Note: The blind will be supplied at the exact sizes you provide

  • Face fitted only
  • Bunching Left or Right

Measuring Panel Glide Blinds

  • Face Fit – Add 100mmm to each side if possible deduct 15 mm from drop if going to floor or a ledge
  • Not suitable to be installed over inward opening doors
